“Sentience” is a body of work created to celebrate our humanity, capturing the depth of emotions pivotal in both art creation and self-expression. In an era marked by rapid technological strides that both challenge and propel our culture, I sought to emphasize the enduring essence of our sentient existence: the profound capacity to experience emotions.
Amidst minimalist backdrops, I wanted the figures alone to serve as conduits for the breadth of emotive intensity, ranging from heartbreak to resilience. Largely excluding faces, the absence of identity amplifies the universal nature of these emotions and calls for personal interpretation. Combining linework and texturization, I sought to create a refined yet organic aesthetic that contrasts sterile technological landscapes. This juxtaposition is meant to encourage immersion into a space where authentic vulnerability is a profound anchor of sentience, transcending the veneer of modernity.
